When looking for a new job, it can be tempting to stick to the same old roles. If you know that you are good at something, it makes sense to try and stick to it and see how well you can do the job elsewhere. But, what about those times when you just feel like you need a change? Like you have to adjust and improve what you do for a living?

Thankfully, there are many tech jobs available in San Francisco that you can go for. If you are looking for a career change, the tech industry is the best place to start. It’s fun, it’s new, it’s innovative, and the pay options are very impressive indeed. Where, though, should you begin your search?

IT Manager

A more general role would be that of an IT manager. They are needed for almost any business that uses IT, which is practically everyone these days. If you are looking for a secure and enjoyable role in the tech industry, then being in charge of IT systems can be a fun and gratifying role that challenges you.

Data Scientist

Another popular role would be that of data scientist. Data informs so much of what we do today, and people need to have in-house experts who can find the right role for them. If you are looking for a tech job at the moment, then you should absolutely look to get into data science.

The field is stacked with talent, but the potential is there for a long career in an industry which is only going to continue growing in importance.

Web Developer

Websites and website apps are becoming the go-to for a business, whether its for marketing or any other reason. If you are skilled in the art of web development, then you should absolutely try and land a role as a web developer. It’s a fun, enjoyable job with new challenges waiting for you every day.

Games Designer

We recommend looking into games design if you have the relevant skills. The games industry in San Francisco is growing all the time, and we recommend that you look into it if you think you have the skills and the ideas to contribute accordingly. Definitely a career path that we would recommend you take the time to try out for.

Summary

With so many options when it comes to tech jobs available in SF, you might not be sure where to begin. Using the above ideas as inspiration, though, you should find it much easier to start tapping into this creative and enjoyable industry and land yourself a new job opportunity while you are at it.
