Digital marketing can be a funny and tricky world. Some things work, some things don’t, and some things only work at certain times. What you think would be a great idea might be completely unsuitable for your online purposes, and what you’re advised to do might be lengthy and boring, and take a long time to see results. 

But that’s the nature of the internet! There’s a lot to do, and a lot of people to reach, but there’s no guarantee what you do will work out, and who you reach out to will be responsive to you. And because of that, it’s time to focus a little more on your digital marketing effort. Sometimes there’s an easy fix for it!

So, let’s go through a couple of things you might doing wrong with the pointers below. 

People are Clicking, But You’re None the Richer!

You’ve got plenty of clicks, and you get plenty on a daily basis, but you’re not getting a high number of conversions to go along with them. It’s frustrating to study your website analytics and realise this, but it’s even more frustrating to know you’re doing nothing but losing money! 

You might need to change where you’re targeting your marketing, you might need to come up with a more coherent message. People need to know who you are and what you do, and these people need to be those who would love your products! 

You’re Not Using an Expert

Whether you want to use a big celebrity influencer, or you want to get across as many popular blogs and Youtube channels as you can, there’s always an expert out there you can reach out to. If they’ve got an established following, or they’ve been in the business for a long time now, they’re going to know exactly what you need (and need to do!) to reach the market you’re trying to connect with. 

There are even professional SEO companies you can turn to, to get purposely crafted content for your website, or your website’s blog, or on someone else’s blog that links back to yours. You want to get as many links across the web as you can, after all! But before you settle down into a contract, make sure you know the 3 goals that an SEO agency should meet

You’ve Got a Competitor Who Always Wins Out

It happens to most of us. We do all we can to market our business in the digital world, and we start to see results, but there’s at least one other company who always does better with their SEO methods. 

It’s because they’ve got more of a monopoly on the market – they’ve been around a bit longer, and they’ve had the chance to establish the SEO more firmly in their favour. It’s key to approach your SEO a little differently, from various other angles, dipping your toes into other markets!
