As someone who loves experimenting in the kitchen, I’m always looking for new and exciting ingredients to try. One of my favourite spices is turmeric, which has incredible health benefits – it’s a vibrant yellow-orange spice with an earthy flavour and plenty of nutritional benefits. Turmeric has been used in traditional Indian cooking for centuries, but its versatility means it can be used in all sorts of dishes from around the world. Today I’m sharing 10 popular recipes that are packed with this amazing ingredient!

1. Bombay Potato Curry

This classic Indian dish is one of my favourites when it comes to turmeric-packed meals. The potatoes are cooked in a rich sauce made with onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger and plenty of spices including turmeric. Serve it over basmati rice or with warm naan bread for a comforting dinner.

2. Turmeric Chicken Soup

This warming soup is perfect for cold autumn nights. The chicken is cooked with carrots, celery and onion until tender then simmered in a lightly spiced broth that’s flavoured with plenty of ground turmeric. Serve it topped with fresh parsley and your favourite crusty bread on the side.
