Putting together a good team for your business is going to be one of the hardest parts of establishing your own company. When you’re interviewing, you’ve got to be sure you’re asking the right questions of the candidates in front of you. After all, the more you know about the person who you’re trying to fill a management position up with, the less chance you have of feeling you’ve made the wrong decision a few weeks or months down the line.

They’re hopefully going to still be working for you, and their answer is going to be some variation of that! You might not have a hiring manager yet, and you’re trying to do the work all on your own, but that doesn’t have to place you at a disadvantage. Most businesses trying to get up and running are going to allocate a good portion of their startup resources to putting together a good team, and you should follow suit. Make sure you set aside the time to interview, and that you’ve got more than enough money to place job ads, or enlist the aid of agency websites.
