Let’s Clear Your Schedule: Top Tasks To Outsource

Estimated reading time: 4 mins

If you ask any entrepreneur what their top complaint would be, I’m sure most of them will say that they are way too busy in their professional life. This should be expected when you do set up your own company. You will have to build it from the ground up, and that means you are going to take on a lot of different responsibilities and tasks to ensure the success of your business. And, until you start turning over significant returns, you probably won’t be able to afford any employees.

But that’s no reason to work 24/7 until you get to the point where you can afford staff. To ensure your professional life doesn’t bubble over into your personal life, you should look for some help at work. So, why not start getting some contractors on board who you can outsource your work to? More often than not, these freelance and contract workers end up being a lot cheaper than full-time employees as you don’t have to provide them with benefits. Sound interesting to you? Here are some common responsibilities that many business owners outsource.

Content Marketing

Content marketing is probably the biggest business development to come out of the past ten years. Without working on your content marketing, you will find that you really struggle to get your business out there, and its visibility will suffer as a result. These days, content needs to be of the highest quality, as it should inform the reader while also working towards your website’s SEO goals. So, as you can see, creating all this valuable content can take a lot of time and effort. And that is probably time and effort that you don’t have! Rather than burning the midnight oil to write blog posts, you should just outsource all of this to a content marketing expert.

Accounting

Does trying to work out your annual taxes completely confuse you? Sounds like you could do with the help of an accountant! Lots of business owners hand over all of their bookkeeping and financial tasks to a freelance accountant so that they don’t have to worry about them. The accountant will keep on top of all these tasks behind the scenes, and will only get in touch whenever they need any extra information or if you ever need to pay a bill. Once your company starts to expand, you might like to bring all of this accountancy in-house as it is such an extensive part of business. But for the first few years at least, it is a lot cheaper to outsource everything.

Legal

Sure, you could have a go at taking care of all your company’s legal stuff yourself, but do you really know what you are doing? If not, you could very easily make a mistake in your contracts. And that mistake could cost you big time at a later date! Rather than trying to solve all of your mistakes at a later date, you will find it a lot more efficient if you outsource all your legal jobs to a lawyer from day one. Even though a legal contractor’s fees might seem very high at first, it will certainly be a lot cheaper than paying one to fix your mistakes or, in the worst-case scenario, represent you in court!

Graphic Design

Graphic design is a very important part of your business as it will greatly influence how your logo, website, and any printed literature all appear. Don’t just think that you will be able to create your own logo and branding in Paint – that will always look messy and unprofessional no matter how long you spend on it! It’s not even worth using one of the free design software out there. It just won’t look as good as a professional’s work! Most graphic designers prefer to work on short projects for different companies at once so you might have to find one to do your logo, one for your website, and someone else for any bits and pieces. But most designers are great at bouncing ideas off each other so you can be sure that all their work will be consistent so that your company can create a visually striking branding!

Lots of entrepreneurs are already enjoying the benefits of outsourcing all of these tasks to contractors, and it is high time that you did too! Just think of all the fun things you could do with all your new spare time!

Do you already outsource something that isn’t on the list? Let me know!
