Courses

By enrolling into one of my courses, you will be taking advantage of my many years in the contemporary IT environment as well as the knowledge and experience of the many dynamic and excellent people I work with. Each course is designed in such a way to give you a tailored learning experience - one that you want. The courses are also structured around flexibility, so you can learn and contribute at your own pace and in your own time. The essence of each course is about learning through involvement and practice, so you will get from it what you put in it - multiplied.

I am now offering courses in the following subjects:

• SS01: How to Achieve Career Propulsion & Personal Excellence using 360 Degree Feedback. This is a 3 week course designed to achieve career and personal goals through the process of 360 feedback. The course comprises of a mixture of reading, discussion and practical engagement with your colleagues. ($300.00 USD pp)
• SS01f: How to Achieve Repeat Business, Referrals & Personal Excellence using 360 Degree Feedback. This is a 3 week course designed for freelancers to gain repeat business and referrals through the process of 360 feedback. The course comprises of a mixture of reading, discussion and practical engagement with your colleagues. ($300.00 USD pp)
• SS02: Developing a Helicopter Mind: Management through conceptualization. This is a one-week course based on reading, discussion (telephone and web chat) and some homework. ($350.00 USD pp)
• SS04: Building a career as an IT Professional. This is a six-week tutor-led course that uses a curriculum as a framework, and mostly involves one-on-one discussion and email communication. ($1,200.00 USD pp)
• SS05: Breaking Out Of Techie-dom; Starting out as an IT Leader. A four week online-only course based on what really happens as you begin your journey in IT Leadership. Covers the basics of leadership,  leadership style, creating and executing vision, communication and issue resolution. ($800.00 USD pp)

Services

Services currently available are:

• Career Coaching: We will develop a working relationship over a period of 2-6 months (and sometimes longer) to take advantage of specific career opportunities you would like to exploit or create. The coaching process will be based on review, challenge and feedback.
• Personal Coaching: We will develop a relationship to reach personal goals and achieve specific objectives of your personal development, working on aspects of your personality, motivation, problem-solving, awareness and personal skills
• Mentorship: I offer mentorship services to IT professionals, which is essentially a process of me sharing my experiences and outlook on situations you are experiencing or anticipate. Mentorship is different to coaching as it is based on the sharing of my own wisdom and experience, and is therefore specific to IT. Through mentorship, we will tackle specific issues or opportunities you face by examining my own experience in similar situations
• Resume/CV & Social Profile review: My many years of experience in recruiting staff have given me a 6th sense for knowing what resumes work, and what doesn’t. Your resume is your single most important document for selling yourself when you’re not present. However, the growth of Web2.0 is changing this and it is very advantageous to take a combined approach to your personal brand using your CV and your Social Profile. I will help you sharpen up your documented brand and image!

Each service above is explained only briefly described as they depend on the building of the objectives of the client. Each relationship is unique and can be structured in many ways.
