qualitative

Qualitative descriptions are based on some quality or characteristic. They are subjective and imprecise.

For example, tasting apples is qualitative.

In contrast, the term quantitative refers to a type of information – or data – that describes a quantity obtained using a quantifiable measurement process, normally on an agreed scale.

For example, measuring the length of a rope is a quantifiable measurement process, and length is quantitative, and it is measured on the scale of inches or metres.
