quantitative

The term quantitative refers to a type of information – or data – that describes a quantity obtained using a quantifiable measurement process, normally on an agreed scale.

For example, measuring wind-speed is a quantifiable measurement process, and wind-speed is quantitative, and it is measured on the scale of knots.

In contrast, qualitative information concerns qualities that are subjective, descriptive, or difficult to measure.

For example, tasting apples is qualitative.
