Whereas, in the large MNCs, nobody is irreplaceable? To see what I mean go read 'The Register' online and you'll see interesting reports where apparently some Footsie companies routinely rotate staff from their SE-Asian subsidiaries for a UK tour of duty. All within legal visa constraints, it seems. How does a UK-based contractor compete in that environment? I'd like to hear from some who are actually in the fray.
