Here is a good book to read for boosting your commercial awareness of IT. It explains how organizations view IT in terms of the benefits it provides against the ‘bottom-line’, how business cases are constructed and accounted for, etc. Its very insightful. Anyone who wants to break out of core IT into the business arena must read this book!
